There is a scarcity of literature assessing the impact of job engagement and satisfaction in the nurse's caring behaviours. This study aims to identify how these factors affect the caring behaviours of nurses.
This study used a cross-sectional design and employed self-report questionnaires. A total of 549 nurses from private and government hospitals participated in the survey conducted in the year 2019. Descriptive and inferential statistics were utilized to analyse the data.
Results revealed that the nurses display high caring behaviours and job engagement and moderate sense of satisfaction. Remarkably, there are no profile variables significantly related to the nurse's caring behaviours. Findings suggest that job engagement and satisfaction are significantly associated with the nurses' caring behaviours.
Factors such as job engagement and satisfaction affect nurses' caring behaviours.
Health organisations must provide strategies to increase job engagement and satisfaction of nurses to yield high caring behaviours, which is vital to the achievement of patient safety.

We examined bidirectional relations between adolescent mental health and mindful parenting among a diverse sample of 249 7th grade students and their female (N = 232) and male caregivers (N = 120). We conducted multiple-group cross-lagged models (grouped by adolescent sex). Female adolescents' externalizing symptoms predicted decreased female caregiver mindful parenting six months later, but male and female adolescent externalizing behaviors were negatively associated with male caregivers' mindful parenting one year later. Findings suggest mindful parenting capacities are vulnerable to disruption via adolescent problem behavior. Mindful parenting's potential benefits, caveats, and need to support parent efforts to sustain mindful parenting amidst adolescents' externalizing behaviors are discussed. To explore the admission process to our neonatal intensive care unit.
A first phase quality improvement initiative was conducted. We utilised observational video recording of a convenience sample of inborn admissions. Two remote GoPro cameras were placed, one giving an overview of activity and the other focussed on the infant. Recordings captured the first hour after admission including transfer to the neonatal intensive care unit by the birthing team. The video footage of each case study was reviewed by a multidisciplinary panel using an agreed semi-quantitative analysis of events.
Ten admissions to the neonatal intensive care unit were video recorded between June and October 2018. Gestational age 28-40. A focus on maintaining airway support was inconsistent as was the ability to provide continuous monitoring of vital signs. Overall leadership of the process was lacking and handover often appeared fragmented. Median temperature on admission was 36(35-37)?°C. Vascular access and fluid manve vascular access. A guideline to streamline handover and nursery transition is currently being implemented; a subsequent evaluation cycle is planned.Hospital-acquired central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI) are "never events" in U.S. healthcare. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/YM155.html National efforts to improve CLABSI rates are ongoing. Efforts are important for all patients with a central venous catheter (CVC) and critical to children with intestinal failure (IF) who depend on long-term, daily use of a CVC and undergo extended hospitalizations. We describe outcomes of a multidisciplinary CLABSI elimination effort on a 24-bed medical-surgical unit caring for children with IF.
Unit CLABSI events from 1/9/2012 to 4/16/2020 were evaluated with multiple improvement interventions. We leveraged prospectively maintained clinical registries and National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) reporting data to extract patient and unit demographics, ethanol lock utilization, and unit CVC days. Interventions were developed utilizing expert consensus and CDC guidelines with active frontline staff engagement. Descriptive statistics and tests of non-parametric data were employed for analysis.

The goal of the present study was to characterize histological changes in the endometria of healthy equines following tissue exposure to gas mixtures enriched with different concentrations of O3 . Cycling mares without endometrial degeneration were divided into three groups according to treatment (n = 9 mares/group). The uteri from the O3 , ?O3 and control groups were insufflated for 3 min with gas containing 42, 21 and 0 μg O3 ml-1 , respectively. Treatments were performed every three days from D0 to D6. Endometrial samples were collected immediately before the first treatment and 24 hr after the last treatment. The following nine histological parameters were evaluated (i) the number of endometrial blood vessels, (ii) endometrial vascular degree (EVD), (iii) increase rate of blood vessels, (iv) increase rate of EVD, (v) glandular total area, (vi) glandular lumen area, (vii) intraglandular secretion area, (viii) glandular epithelial height and (ix) luminal epithelial height. In the O3 group, a positive effect from treatment (p less then .01) was detected for all vascular parameters (i, ii, iii and iv), glandular total area, intraglandular secretion area and glandular epithelial height. Compared to the control group, the ?O3 group had greater (p less then .01) EVD (84.1 ± 12%) and a higher increase rate of blood vessels (151.9 ± 47.1%). Uterine insufflation with low or intermediate concentrations of the O2 -O3 gas mixture induced endometrial angiogenesis. Morphometry, but not morphology, of the endometrial glands was affected by local O3 therapy. These findings would be of great significance for the development of new therapies for infertility in mares.
